Ritz Club in Michigan City

Really a fantastic place. They had a limited menu when I went so excited what the full menu has. But the experience I had was great. Food and atmosphere, top notch.

Cheeseburger I had was excellent. Garlic burger was outstanding too. Atmosphere was pleasant, and the owner/bartender was the best. I really thought Happy was a treat to see as well. I recommend the Ritz Club to anyone.

It's a dive. The burgers are AWESOMELY huge! Reasonably priced. Cash or credit. I'll be coming back...with friends.

I really love the Ritz Club! There is nothing fancy about it. In fact, it probably looks much as it did when it was founded generations ago in Michigan City's North Side. Friendly owner's, great, big, juicy burgers for an unbelievably good price. We ALWAYS stop here anytime we go to Indiana or Michigan. It is worth a detour. I want the Ritz to go back to good times.

Only been here twice but really like this place. Very old but well maintained. HUGE burger, very delicious. Good place to sit down have some drinks, eat, and watch some TV. Very friendly people you have to stop in if you have never before!

First time and from out of town. Burgers are good, not your standard frozen patty. Phyllis, one of the owners, is a sweetheart.

Stopped on our way to Chicago from Windsor Canada. Had a great lunch and conversation with owners Rich and Phyliss. Don't miss this gem if you are in the area. Garlic blue cheese burgers were to die for!

Ritz Klub is always a great experience. Owners Rich and Phyllis are wonderful hosts. My hubby swears by their burgers and they absolutely never disappoint! Pictured is us a few days ago with some friends enjoying a meal we won't ever forget! Love this place! Best burger in Michigan City and quite possibly, the whole world. Came for happy hour - 6 oysters and a beer for $12. Had four each of Their top 3 oysters and blue island oysters were our favorite. Loved my light summery Hefeweizen. Crab cakes - terrific. So good. I thought to myself, "it doesn't get better than this."And then I had the scallops. Good lord. Best scallop I've ever had. The mushroom risotto it was paired with was great too. But the scallops. I'll be dreaming of these for weeks. I'm still sitting here and I can't wait to come back.

Big juicy good tasting burger, pleasant low key atmosphere and that old time bar feeling without the usual depression and strange smells that accompany the old bars I usually frequent. Really unique place in these days of people looking for intensity and glossiness. Good amount of microbrews. I recommend a stop. Give it a try, I know you'll like it. Also bartender (nice guy) said the Reuben is great but they were out; so I will be back!

Had the best chicken soup here! Garlic Blue Burger and fries shared between us and we are full! Great historical tavern owned since 1906! Definitely stopping in again!

Awesome no frills dive bar. At night the only lights in the joint are neon signs and tvs. Gigantic draft beers and killer food. Food menu is small but so is the kitchen. Old man that owns the place whips up a mean reuben.

Great food, drinks, and hospitality. The oldest bar around and it's great. You go in hungry and walk out with enough food for two, but delicious. Rich and Phyllis are great people and the service is outstanding. The bar seems magical with its roots and history. Come hungry and leave full, happy, and talking!! Small Mom and Pop ran business at its finest. Nice selection of draft beer and great food. I love this bar. BEER and WINE ONLY.

The Ritz Klub is the oldest pub in Michigan City. It has a great ambiance, lots of dark wood, a proper mirrored bar back, friendly and attentive staff, and the Cajun Burger is OUT OF THIS WORLD !I look forward to sampling more of their food the next time I'm up. Do check it out, you won't be disappointed !

Best burger around.

I see all of these reviews about the best burger they ever had.so we decided to come and visit the establishment. I don’t know what happened but I wish I took a photo of my burger. No salt or pepper, very blend and dry. Tasted like it was freezer meat. I don’t write bad reviews because I work in the food chain but omg it was so bad I threw it away and I had to share my experience with everyone .
